The Sorbonne Responds...

No disrespect to Rob but even though I am a very good cook, sometimes for expediency's sake...

A Drunk's Recipe for Chili

Microwave on high for one minute and thirty seconds
dump an handful of sharp cheddar cheese in the center
Open beer, and enjoy.

I just poke a hole in the can with a screwdriver and heat it with an acetylene torch. Why bother with the bowl? or fork, for that matter.

well the screwdriver and torch method are great when you're living under a bridge. We're civilized here.

At least use a can opener, set the can on the stove burner and eat it from the can with a spoon. But a screwdriver?

Come on...

Being a man, I prefer screwdrivers of any kind to kitchen utensils of any kind. And no flame is as efficient as the acetylene flame. Even if it does cause little bumps of crusty chili to get welded to the inside of the can where it overheated. Fortunately, the sharp edge of a Craftsman 1/4" cabinet tipped flat screwdriver is adequate to the task. And, while I do not live under a bridge, I don't always have a stove handy. I am never far away from an acetylene torch.

Great blog. Thanks.
